3 Simple & Effective Ways to Freshen Your Brand Presence with Jordan Long

Spring has sprung and, to me, springtime signifies new beginnings and a fresh start. What better time to freshen your graphics and visual imagery than when the flowers are blooming, trees are growing new leaves, and the natural world is busy at work?

Today I have 3 recommendations for how you can freshen your brand presence online:

1: Keep What Is Working. Let Go of What Is Not.

Keep your core branding elements the same. If your logo and brand colors are congruent with you, your brand, the overall trajectory of your company, then those elements don’t need changing. You don’t need to reinvent the wheel to freshen things up a bit.

Some minor tweaks can be effective here! For example, your brand photography might need updating. Perhaps the imagery feels worn and tired, or you simply want to go in a new direction. That probably means it’s time to get a brand photoshoot on the calendar. If you want to see how we prepared for our Team Photoshoot in January 2023, click here.

At The Awakening, we typically have one group photoshoot per year, but we also host a few smaller shoots throughout the year to capture stills, photos of the founder, team photos, and more. This allows us to continually have fresh visual imagery.

2: Refresh Your Social Media Presence

I think many of us are doing this right now. Not only because it’s springtime, but because as a society we’re craving simplicity, authenticity, and connection.

This is the perfect time to analyze the effectiveness of your messaging! Consider small tweaks that you can make. Is your messaging strong and clear? Do people understand what you do and how you can help them? Refresh your messaging. It will go a long way.

This point can also tie back to Point 1, but take a look at your visual imagery – the look and feel. Does it need refreshing? Do you need new photography and videography? Do you want to try new techniques here? Think of unique ways to showcase your brilliance and authority through your visual imagery.

3: Try Something New

Perhaps you’ve been in the hamster wheel of running your business for so long now that you’ve dug yourself into a rut. If this is you, trying something new might be helpful to refresh and re-energize not only yourself and your business, but your community at large. This could be…

A NEW OFFER

Of course, you will want to be intentional with this. Don’t just put out a new offer that is uncooked for the sake of “trying something new.” Put thought into a new offer before you share it with your community and promote it. Make sure that the offer is in alignment with the trajectory of where your business is going. Make sure it’s in alignment with you as a founder. And if you have a team, check with them to see what they think as well.

A NEW STRATEGY

Perhaps your marketing strategy isn’t working for you right now. You’re not alone in this! Things that once worked aren’t working anymore. As business owners, you must adapt and pivot when necessary. Be flexible enough to try new methods. If you’re needing guidance on strategy for your business, check out our Services at The Awakening. We would love to connect and see how we can support you in this season of your business.

A NEW TECHNIQUE

Like I mentioned earlier in regards to visual imagery, maybe it’s time to try a new technique. Think of ways to showcase your unique brilliance through your visual imagery. How can you stand out from the crowd? Remember: You’re the only you on this planet. (How wonderful is that?!) You are what sets your business apart. How can you showcase THAT in your imagery? This might require thinking outside the box and trying a new style of shooting or a new style of editing. But be willing to play, to try new things, to think differently.

In Conclusion

You don’t have to rehaul your entire brand to freshen your business and online presence. Small changes go a long way, and those small changes are a great launching pad. Don’t reinvent the wheel, but refine. Refine in small, but effective ways.

As a society we’re craving simplicity, authenticity, and connection. How can you prioritize these pillars in your business during this season?
