6-Figure Business Foundations

True story: The first time I tried to scale my business I failed.

Let me set the scene. It was early 2019, and I was ready to take this business seriously. I was ready to transition from a reactive hobbyist to a thriving, profitable CEO.

In an attempt to grow quickly, I hired a funnels and ads expert that was working with multi-millionaires at the time.

Long story short, over the span of four months, we invested over $20,000 into this expert with the promise of making our investment back and MORE. But by the end of our container, we hadn’t even made one penny.

Not.one.sale.

At this point in time, I was further behind than ever before. I refer to this moment as my truest rock bottom in business. Because not only had I lost vision and motivation.

But I had lost all hope.

The good news is that I was able to not only come back from this rock bottom, but come back STRONG. Through CEO Embodiment, strategic planning, and profit generation, I was able to pay that $20k back and scale to multiple 5-figures in 5 months.

Here’s what I’ve found to be true: The shift from 0 profit to 5-figures was so much about clarifying and embodying my CEO role (hello, Awakening Membership).

But the shift to 6-figures was about elevating the infrastructure of the business from our business model to our client experience and overall customer journey.

Once again, I realized that it wasn’t about doing more. It was about doing less with excellence

Here’s the deal: So many people think that the secret to scaling is doing more, creating more, offering more, hiring more, generating more leads, etc.

But what’s so cool about our growth (and many of our clients) is that it has been way less about doing more and way more about going deep with our existing business model and clients.

By doing so, not only have we been able to scale.

But we’ve been able to do so sustainably, set ourselves up for long term growth, and prioritize alignment and time-freedom at the center of our business.

I don’t know about you. But I’m here for growth AND alignment. And let me tell you something: you can have both

This is why we’re so passionate about helping women in business build with soul and strategy, scale sustainably, and prioritize alignment and simplicity. We deserve to feel good while creating massive impact.

A few key pieces to consider:

A Sustainable, Scalable Business Model

Your likelihood of scaling with ease is largely dependent upon your business model & offering suite. As an example:

Back in 2019, I had one offer: a membership priced at $10 per month. This meant that in order to *just* reach $10,000 per month, we had to acquire (and retain) 1,000 customers for our membership.

Again, that was ONLY for $10k months.

For an established brand, acquiring 1,000 members fairly quickly may be doable. But for a new brand with little cash flow, visibility, and reach, that would be a LOT of marketing and sales efforts.

Since then, we have completely restructured and built out a sustainable business model designed for scale, ease, and freedom.

For perspective, we worked with over 130 brands in 2021 alone, and generated multiple six figures (well beyond that initial $10k/mo goal).

The moral of the story: the way you design your business model will determine whether or not you can scale with ease and sustainability at the forefront.

This is one of the key pillars I teach our Academy students.

Providing an Unmatched Client Experience

So much of the conversation in the online space places heavy emphasis on your lead generation, marketing, and sales efforts (aka: lead acquisition).

And yet one of the simplest ways to grow your business is through client retention. And increased client retention relies heavily on the overall experience you provide for your clients.

Imagine with me: Instead of having to find and acquire new clients every few months (or worse, every month), what if 50-70% of your clientele base was recurring?

What if you could see clients and revenue secured 6-12+ months out?

This is a very possible reality, and all it requires is 1) a service that allows you to provide consistent value 2) a top notch client experience that leaves clients happy and wanting to stay with you longer.

Mindset > Strategy

I saved this one for last because it’s honestly the best and truest tip I can give you.

The first thing that determines your success or lack of success in ANY endeavor - personal or professional - it’s your mindset. I know this conversation can instigate some eye-rolls and people tend to want to skip over this step. Because they’re like “yeah yeah I know. Mindset is important. But let’s talk strategy and tactics.”

Here’s the deal: strategy will do NOTHING for you if your mindset isn’t right. Why? Because without the right mindset, you won’t take the right actions. And without the right actions, your strategy is pointless - it’s just a fun idea written down on paper.

What I’ve come to realize is that the MORE you grow in business the MORE important your mindset becomes. It’s always important - but with increased growth, it’s even MORE important.

I think back to when I was trying to scale with that funnels & ads expert - my mindset was in a place where I thought “I can’t grow this business. So, I’ll get someone else to do it.” 1) That’s lack of belief in my own skillset & expertise 2) That’s a HUGE lack of responsibility & ownership - which it takes to be a CEO & business owner.

So, how can you work on your mindset regularly?

The first step is creating SPACE to prioritize AWARENESS.

-Notice your thought patterns

-Reflect & ask if they align with your truth

-Rewire & reinforce your truth

In order to achieve next level success, you need to be embodying your next level self NOW. The same is true for your 4, 5, 6, 7 figure self and beyond.
