“Content is the atomic particle of all digital marketing.” — Rebecca Lieb

Whether it’s an Instagram post or podcast episode, an email to your list or a blog post, marketing your business online comes back to one main thing:

Content.

If there’s one skill you need to master as an entrepreneur, it’s knowing how to create content that attracts, nurtures, and converts your audience into paying customers.

But maybe right now you’re in one of the following three camps when it comes to content marketing:

1) Creating content feels like pulling teeth. You aren’t sure what to talk about, and you’re stuck staring at that blinking cursor in your Google Doc more often than you’d like to admit.

2) You spend ages writing posts but feel like no one is seeing them. Not only that, but you certainly aren’t getting new customers from your content.

3) You’re following the strategies of other “experts” or even using their content templates, but still aren’t seeing the engagement, results, and sales you want.

If any of those sound familiar, I can help!

I have a shortcut that will help you create magnetic, impactful, scroll-stopping content that not only gets likes, shares, and comments, but also leads to sales.

What is it?

Two words for you, my friend:

Human Design.

Wait, What is Human Design?

Human Design is a tool for understanding your one-of-a-kind gifts, energy, challenges, and purpose.

It’s an intricate, detailed system that paints a picture of who you really are and the work you’re here to do. Just like no two people are alike, no two Human Design charts are alike.

Here’s an example of what your chart might look like:

When you see your chart, don’t freak out! You don’t need to understand what all the shapes and lines and numbers mean. We’re going to start simple today and look at your Energy Type.

The Five Human Design Energy Types

There are five Energy Types:

  1. Manifestor
  2. Generator
  3. Manifesting Generator
  4. Projector
  5. Reflector

Each Type has special gifts, challenges, and a role they’re here to fill in the collective. Your Energy Type reflects the nature of your aura as well as how you best interact with others and the world around you.

Manifestors are the visionaries and initiators who are here to bring new things to life.

Generators are the creative builders who are passionate and masterful in their work.

Manifesting Generators are the rebels who love breaking rules and doing things their way.

Projectors are the wise guides who are here to light the way for others.

Reflectors are society’s mirrors, reflecting back the health and alignment of any group or space.

Magnetic Content Marketing with Human Design

So how does Human Design tie into content marketing?

When you align your content marketing strategy with your Energy Type, your content becomes more impactful and profitable, attracting your dream clients with ease. Plus, creating content feels easier and way more fun.

Ready? Here’s how to create magnetic content based on your Human Design Energy Type.

Creating Content as a Manifestor

1. Be bold and polarizing in your content. Take a stand for what you believe in. The goal is to create content that repels the wrong people and magnetizes the right people—the ones who will love your bold energy and tell-it-like-it-is attitude.

2. Take swift action on your creative ideas. When you feel the strong urge to write a new post, this is divine guidance you’re meant to follow. Trust it!

3. Keep your audience in-the-loop. Bring people behind the scenes in your business and/or life. For example, you could share:

  • Projects you’re working on
  • Upcoming offers
  • Your big and innovative ideas
  • New content releasing soon
  • Any exciting collaborations underway

Creating Content as a Generator

1. Focus on content platforms and types of content you love creating. You don’t have to do it all; focus your time and energy on work that lights you up and forget about the rest.

2. Create content showcasing your skills. For example, if you’re a fitness coach, you could record a video showing how you create custom workout plans for each of your clients based on their needs, goals, and lifestyle.

3. Share the methodical, step-by-step systems you’ve developed. For example, if you’re a nutritionist, you could share your step-by-step meal planning process.

Creating Content as a Manifesting Generator

1. Break the rules. You, my friend, aren’t here to do things the traditional way. When everyone else goes left, you go right, and that’s what people love about you.

2. Speak up! As a Manifesting Generator, your voice is naturally powerful, so audio or video content (e.g., a podcast, a YouTube channel) is perfect for you.

3. Focus on types of content that are fun for you to create. If it’s boring or draining, it’s not the right platform or topic for you. Be sure to switch things up as needed to keep your energy fresh.

Creating Content as a Projector

1. Speak to one specific person in your content. Think of a real person, perhaps a client you loved working with in the past, and then speak directly to that person’s emotions, thoughts, identity, goals, desires, and pain points in your content.

2. Go deep rather than wide. You love going deep and are not a fan of keeping things light and fluffy. For example, set yourself the goal of writing one epic 2,000+ word blog post each month vs. three shorter, surface-level posts.

3. Showcase your zone of genius. What’s one thing you’re exceptionally good at that your clients/customers rave about? Create content highlighting and owning that particular gift. As a Projector, you have to recognize your own gifts before other people can do the same.

Creating Content as a Reflector

1. Be flexible with your content schedules and don’t overcommit. Life changes so much for you from day to day, including your energy levels. Let yourself go with the flow and adapt your goals and schedule over time as needed.

2. Create content talking about what’s working and not working for your ideal client. What is holding him/her back? What shifts need to happen? On a larger scale, what industry norms, beliefs, or approaches do you disagree with and why?

3. You are the niche. Don’t put yourself in a box. It’s fine to have content pillars, but as you change and evolve as a person, allow your content pillars to evolve too. Create content from the place you’re in right now, sharing your unique reflections, thoughts, and methods.

Time to get to work! Implement these content marketing tips for your Energy Type and start creating content that actually moves the needle in your business (and is super fun to create).
